Carlyn Capella brings a distinctive combination of financial expertise, strategic vision, and genuine warmth to Capella Plastic Surgery, where she serves as Chief Strategy & Operations Officer.
A graduate of Dartmouth College, Carlyn earned her degree cum laude with several academic citations, completed the pre-medical curriculum, and was named a Presidential Scholar. She began her career in New York City in healthcare investment banking at Merrill Lynch, advising leading Fortune 500 companies, before moving into private equity fundraising at Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan Partners, where she helped raise what was the largest private equity fund in history at that time.
Today, Carlyn brings that same analytical rigor and long-term perspective to Capella Plastic Surgery. She leads the practice’s strategy, operations, growth initiatives and patient experience, helping shape the organization’s continued evolution as a leader in post-weight-loss body contouring. Her focus is both strategic and deeply personal: creating an organization in which exceptional clinical care is matched by an equally exceptional patient experience. Carlyn believes that people want to feel heard, understood, and supported—particularly when they are navigating a meaningful transformation in their lives. That philosophy guides her approach to the overall patient journey.
Carlyn is fluent in Spanish, a dedicated volunteer, and a devoted mother of three boys. Outside of the practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, hiking, traveling, and connecting with people from around the world. Above all, she is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
